Notes

1. For your reference, the other character in this scene is Pearl Forrester from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 television show. This may be difficult to gather, as she has the exact same facial features as every other Gonterman character that isn't part animal. And some who are.

2. If anyone has the first clue as to what "Sailor Moon Mode" is, why Pearl would be in it, or what a Pulse Thrower Gun has to do with any of this, the Shrine's email address is on the main page; please make use of it.

3. Second panel in the middle row: After a good deal of contemplation I have decided that Pearl is grinning because she knows something David does not. The clues here come mostly from context, as her face would be drawn the same if she were grimacing in pain.

4. It's often said that Gonterman tends to make himself a godlike protagonist in his comics, and is portrayed as a classic hero who surmounts impossible odds and braves vicious foes - basically, he makes himself look good. Here, this is demonstrated by showing his skill in first shooting and then beating up a middle-aged fat woman.
